Some people like the noise
constant distractions
interruptions
dislocated interactions
of ongoing chaos and drama in their lives
But
with you, You, YOU!
I feel the absence of everything and the presence of it all
the space
that quiet
the peace
that joy
it is all so very still
Most days I chose to marvel in it when you don’t know it
It’s so sexy
that inner calm that
floats through the air and slaps me in all the right places
it looks good on you
Most days I don’t know how to get at it
My feet are planted on the ground and not moving
So I sit and watch and just inhale
and then exhale you
